Wendy received her BSc (Math) and BEd from Acadia University. After teaching high school Math for several years, Wendy became an "at home" mom, raising her two children. During those years Wendy was found at school volunteering almost daily in some capacity, even tutoring. After school, the family van generally had a load of children destined to a sports event. Eventually, Wendy's math skills sparked an interest in accounting and after taking several courses, joined AC Belliveau Veinotte Inc. in 2004. Outside of work, Wendy has been very involved with her surrounding communities particularly through music. In the Fall of 2018 she was honoured to be awarded The Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers in recognition of 20 years of service as an alto saxophone player with the Bridgewater Fire epartment Band. Wendy keeps a very busy schedule with band events, singing in church choir and other ensembles, as well as playing in handbell choir and ensembles. She also serves on her church’s Worship and Music committee. Wendy finally “passed the torch” after having served on the Lunenburg and District Music Festival Committee for over 25 years.
